As we navigate the ups and downs of life, mental health plays a significant role in our overall well-being. Journaling has long been recognized as an effective tool for self-reflection, personal growth, and self-care.

By allowing ourselves to express our thoughts and emotions, we can gain insights into our mental state, learn from past experiences, and find a sense of inner peace. In this blog post, I have compiled a list of 90 journal prompts that specifically focus on mental health, offering you a starting point for self-discovery and emotional healing.

As always, none of these statements have been evaluated by the FDA, this article is not medical advice, and it’s not meant to diagnose or treat any condition. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s dive in . . .

I understand that everyone’s journey with mental health is unique, and the prompts I’ve created are meant to be adaptable to your individual needs and experiences. Feel free to modify them as needed, or use them as a springboard for your own creative ideas. Remember, there’s no right or wrong way to journal, and the most important thing is to be honest and gentle with yourself as you explore your thoughts and emotions. So, grab your favorite journal, a cozy spot, and let’s embark on this journey of self-awareness and self-care together.

Our journal prompts for mental health is TECHNICALLY over, but I’m not one to leave an accomplished journaler hanging. Here’s seven more journal prompts to get you through the next week. Meanwhile, let’s talk after about hopping on a new journal prompt journey.

Before you go…

You may have started to shrink back as you glanced at this list, feeling perhaps a tad overwhelmed by the sheer number of journal prompts. The good news is, you only write one at a time. As Richard Dreyfuss said in the hilarious film, “What About Bob?”, Baby Steps!

So I’m going to help you develop the habit and skill of writing in your journal each and every day, if you’ll let me.

I want you to gift you the easiest, most accessible method for developing this new healing approach to self-awareness and self-care. Since I know it’s easy to forget a web address (mine is even misspelled from the original word – there’s an “a” missing), I want to help you keep a pace and stay on track.

If you’d like to show up every day for 90 days to write in your journal and improve your mental health, I’m going to help you do it.

Sign up below for my Daily Journal Prompt. I’ll send you a prompt from this list each day at 5am Central Time. It will be waiting in your inbox. All I ask is in return is you agree to spend 3 minutes writing your own words in response to the daily prompt.
